The Little Mermaid is the Walt Disney cartoon series released on the 17th of November 1989 in the United States of America in English. The Disney Little Mermaid was a half an hour episode telecasted on the Cartoon Network channel. The Little Mirmaid is a fictional cartoon and a fairy tale. The Disney Little Mermaid became such a big hit cartoon series amongst the kids that it had to be launched in the Little Mirmaid movie as well. The Disney Little Mermaid cartoon series were in themselves inspired by the Little Mirmaid book written by Hans Christian Andersen.

THE FAIRY TALE OF YOUR DREAMS
The Disney Little Mermaid is a cartoon series about the Little Mermaid princess named Ariel who lives under water, in the Atlantica Sea. Ariel is the princess of the Little Mirmaid cartoon series who is a sixteen years old teenager, waiting for her true love, who would be a human. The Disney Little Mermaid princess that is Ariel has a father whose wife has died and his name is King Triton. King Triton is the ruler of the Atlantica. Ariel even has six elder sisters named Aquata, Andrina, Arista, Attina, Adella and Alana. Ariel is the youngest of the lot and the most bubbly too. The Little Mermaid princess has a liking for the human artifacts, keeps going on rounds with her best friend, Flounder, and tries to find something or the other under the sea that is related to humans and their existence. Ariel’s father that is King Triton does not like the fact that his daughter is interested in human existence and wants to study it in deep as they do not like humans. This is because their only interaction with the humans was with the fishermen who used to kill their empire every day. Due to this, King Triton asked Sebastian the crab to keep an eye on his daughter. Nevertheless, it eventually so happens that Sebastian sides with Ariel, although he is always scared of the consequences and therefore, warns Ariel of them but she rarely listens to it. In every episode, Ariel finds something very interesting under the sea, which is related to the humans. Trying to find out what it exactly is, she is always in some kind of trouble, which is then managed by the trio, Ariel, Sebastian and Flounder.

CHARACTERS
ARIEL
Ariel is the lead role of the Disney Little Mermaid cartoon series who is sixteen years old, bubbly, cheerful and fun loving. In addition, Ariel is a very kind, trustworthy, naïve and an innocent mermaid who always wants to explore and be a part of the human existence. Ariel is otherwise a very pretty looking mermaid who has a blue colored fin and wears a small little bikini on top. Her hair is red colored. Ariel has the amazing talent of singing.

FLOUNDER
Flounder is a small golden colored fish with blue stripes on it. Flounder is the best friend of Ariel and is always with her, in everything that she does. Flounder is a very talkative and forever excited fish. Ariel and Flounder are pretty much same in the way that they behave. Even Flounder is a naïve, timid, meek and servile fish, just like Ariel.

KING TRITON
King Triton is the strict yet loving father of Ariel who has lost his wife. King Triton has a specific dislike for humans and their existence. King Triton is rules the entire Atlantica and has seven daughters out of which Ariel is the youngest Little Mirmaid princess. King Triton is over possessive and over caring for Ariel. King Triton’s is a good natured and nice hearted but finds it alright to be a little harsh with Ariel, often hurting her sentiments and feelings.

SEBASTIAN
Sebastian the Little Mermaid is a crab who is the leader of the orchestra of the Atlantica and sings very well. Sebastian Little Mermaid is a highly-strung crab, who was turned to be a Jamaican from being a British. Sebastian looks and sounds pretty coward though he is caring towards the Little Mermaid princess Ariel. Inspite of being the one responsible for Ariel’s actions, Sebastian always takes her side, saving her from King Triton but always asks her not to do anything against the King’s wishes because he is scared of the king
