Dexter’s Lab is basically a cartoon focusing on Dexter, the main lead. Dexter is a young boy who is around nine years in age but is very genius for his age. Dexter has a laboratory that is secretly located at her house, inside his room. Dexters Laboratory has all the big, advanced and technical equipments. His laboratory is situated behind a bookshelf in his room. However, at times, Dexters Laboratory is even shown to be having an entrance from under a carpet in his room. Even if somebody knows that the bookshelf is the entrance to the laboratory, still the person cannot get entrance into it because there is always this specific book that has to be withdrawn in such a manner that the door opens. At times, there are even many passwords that have to be spoken only in Dexter’s voice. Dexter is this one brainy guy and has a lot of secret codes and passwords to unlock a lot of things, machines, and innovations and even the doors and rooms. Dexter and his sister Dee Dee are always fighting with each other. Dexter Dee Dee most of the time gains access to Dexter’s Lab secretly and mysteriously, much to the dismay of Dexter. Dexter keeps secrets and codes to his room and his laboratory so that he can stop Dee Dee from entering it, as she is very destructive and distorted. Dexter Dee Dee plays once she gets entry into the laboratory and then by mistake, in her immaturity destroys Dexter’s most loved and precious creations and innovations. Dexter Dee Dee at times also gives logical advice and ideas to Dexter if he is just an inch behind making his innovation. Despite being elder to Dexter, Dee Dee is very immature and funny but still manages to help Dexter in her wits. Dexter all the time fails in his innovations and inventions in spite of being so intelligent as he gets over excited, thus making wrong choices. Dexter’s parents never notice the laboratory even if the whole thing is in front of his eyes. Dexter also tries to hide it from his parents who are pretty naïve.

Mandark is a guy who is jealous of Dexter’s new innovations and is always trying to compete with him in all the Dexters Laboratory cartoons. He makes evil plans so that Dexter’s techniques and ideas go all haywire. Dexter always manages to make better innovations than Mandark and Mandark steals his ideas. Mandark is shown to have a soft corner for Dee Dee but Dee Dee ignores him most of the time. Dexter is no always shown to fail in his innovations but at times, succeeds as well. Dexter has a small pet monkey who does not know of Dexter’s ownership of him.

The famous Dexter’s Laboratory is an entirely humorous cartoon series where the major hilarious members are Dexter, Dee Dee, his sister, Dexter’s mother who is a complete cleanliness freak and his father who is made about sports and television. Dexter and his family often end up arguing, fighting and discussing but in the end there is a lot of love and compassion amongst them all. Whenever Dexter, who has the ability to launch a missile, spacecraft or a rocket from his house, he tips the entire house upside down and nobody comes to know. It is agreed that the Dexter’s Laboratory cartoon has a lot of non sensical humor but still people especially kids love watching Dexter’s Labortory because of the amazing skills and ideas that Dexter possesses. Dexter’s Laboratory has made use of a lot of pop cultures and made humor on it.
